Random facts about me - Blogger Q & A

Thanks so much to Hayley at Winging it with two boys for tagging me in this Blogger Q & A.

I loved reading Hayley's and finding out some random facts about her, so I was so excited to be tagged to do my own.

Hopefully you will enjoy reading and finding about about me too!

When was the last time you cried?
Honestly? I don't remember? I've welled up by things on TV or been so angry/ upset I've felt like crying but I haven't actually let myself. I'm one of those who can hold it back but if I do happen to let it out, I don't stop!

If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?
I think so. I'm an alright friend - I'm a good cheerer-upper and a good listener. I try not to judge and can relate to most things.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?
YES! Toooo much. And for that reason I hate meeting new people.
I am sarcasm, sarcasm is me. But it can be hugely offensive to someone who doesn't get that particular humour or doesn't know you well enough to know that you are being sarcastic. So when I meet new people, I have to hold back and tend to try not to be myself too much which just makes me really uncomfortable. Once I've sussed someone out, I relax a bit and let out the real sarcastic me!

What's the first thing you notice about people?
I'm terrible with things like this and really unobservant. I can talk to someone for hours and still come away not knowing what clothes they were wearing or what colour eyes they have. I don't know what happens, but I just take no physical appearances in. So on that basis, I guess the first thing I notice about someone is their personalities/ their mood/ their humour.

Scary movie or happy endings?
I love scary movies but it has to be a really really good one for me to properly enjoy it. I'm not easily scared so that's quite difficult. If I just want to relax and watch a film, I'd chose a happy ending every time.

Favourite smells?
I love the smell of onion and garlic cooking. That's a bit weird isn't it? Most people hate that smell.
When I was pregnant with all three kids, my cravings were smell related - I was obsessed with the smell of cream cleaner (like cif), really cheap gel air freshners, really cheap bubble bath and shake n vac. I used to just shake and not vac though just so I could lie on the rug and sniff away. I had an air freshner in my bed side drawer for night time cravings and I was forever cleaning my sink to sniff in the cream cleaner goodness!!

What's the furthest you've ever been away from home?
The Maldives. It was my honeymoon with my ex-husband though so we pretend that didn't happen!

Do you have any special talents?
Hmmm, special? Depends what you define as 'special'? I can twist my hand and arm around 360 degrees. It's certainly 'special' but maybe not in the way you were thinking huh? It's my go-to party trick.

Where were you born?
Stafford, Staffordshire.

What are your hobbies?
When I had the time, whilst I was pregnant and had a little sleepy baby, I liked to crochet. I enjoy getting crafty and love having the excuse to make things for the wedding at the moment. There's only so much stuff you can make for the house! I also enjoy writing and have started to write children's stories lately which has been fun.
Oh and baking. I love making cakes but again, that's something I very much did when I had more time. I do still get to bake, but with the help of a very enthusiastic 3 year old so the end results are a little less aesthetically pleasing!!

What did you want to be when you grew up?
As a small child, I think I was one of the boring ones who just answered Nurse or Teacher because everybody else did, but didn't really think about it too much!
In high school I very much wanted to do Graphic design and I still would have loved to have followed a more creative path.

How many countries have you been to?
7.
I'm cheating a little.
....I am including Scotland and Wales in that to make me sound better. That's technically the right answer, they're countries right?
But overseas countries, I went to Spain as a 2 year old so can't really remember it.
I have been to Austria twice and day-tripped to Italy from there.
I went to the Maldives on that trip we don't speak about.
And I went to Disneyland, Paris a couple of years ago.

What was your favourite/ worst subject at school?
Favourite was anything creative like Graphics and Art.
Worst was probably English literature. I just really don't like reading much. I know, shoot me now! I like factual books like crime books and autobiographies and funnily enough, school didn't cover either of those genres!
I also hated Science. Funny seen as I'm doing a Science based diploma now with a view to going into a medical role!
And I didn't like Maths much but it turned out to be my strongest subject and something which I was just naturally good at.

What is your favourite drink?
Tea!! I couldn't live without my daily tea fix.
Other than that I only drink water. I'm really fussy with drinks and particularly hate alcoholic ones!

What would you (or have you) named your kids?
I already have an Isla, Samuel and Finn but my imaginary 4th and 5th children would be called Edie Fleur and Arlo Frederick.

Who are some of your favourite YouTubers?
I don't watch any. Oops.
My kids are the YouTube addicts in this house so the only ones I even know about are JoJo Siwa and Tiana from Toys and me.
Oh the shame.

How many boyfriends have you had?
5 (starting with my 1st proper boyfriend at 15 that is!)

Favourite memory from childhood?
Collecting guppies from the stream near my Nan and Grandad's house with my sister and cousins and keeping them in my Grandad's water butt in the garden.

How would you describe your fashion sense?
Mum style. Comfy and clean is the aim. Fashion doesn't even come into it.

Tell us one of your bad habits?
I have none. I'm like Mary Poppins - practically perfect in every way.

Did you find out anything you didn't know there?

Now it's my turn to tag some lovely bloggers to find out more about. I tag Katie at Living life our way, Becky at Mommy and Rory, Kristine at Kristine's blog and Georgina at Gee Gardner and look forward to seeing their answers soon!
