Review: Cbeebies Kazoops music release (Just imagine - Volume 1)

If you have kids from toddler age upwards, then you will probably have watched the popular Cbeebies series Kazoops - a show that follows 6 year old Monty and his pet pig Jimmy Jones on epic imaginary adventures together.

Launched in July 2016, the music in Kazoops has been what makes the show really stand out. The catchy tunes are easy to pick up and easily recognised as being from Kazoops with their whimsical combinations of guitars, ukuleles, drums, glockenspiels, retro synths, string vocals and more.

And so to go with the TV show, the producers, Cheeky Little Media, have now released a set of 20 songs from each episode onto iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Pandora and YouTube for your little ones to enjoy (which is great for me as all 3 of mine are slightly obsessed with YouTube videos at the moment!)

Each song has its own unique style and message, to really get your child's imagination going - just like Monty's does in the show!

As I am writing this, I am out of breath and needing the 5 minutes peace with my laptop after LL, LB & BB have had me whirling around the lounge to these songs.

I have to offer a warning here: These songs WILL get stuck in your head for the rest of the day and you WILL find yourself singing or humming the tune along to yourself as you go about your daily business!

They are unbelievably catchy, happy and upbeat.

And unlike other children's songs (seriously, if I hear the wheels on the bus sung in a high pitched softly softly voice one more time this week, I may scream. Or wilt and die), the lyrics in these actually have some substance. The sound has a more grown up feel that adults can enjoy without loosing the will to live after the 50th time of listening to the same song on repeat (If my kids like something - they REALLY like it. Alllllll day long, for weeks!)

Our favourite song is the rain song.....

Listen to the Rain song here.
We don't mind going out in the rain either. And quite fancy racing a friend on a rubber ducky now too!

Not only are the songs great, but visually the videos are fun, colourful and engaging for the children to watch too.

From 28th October 2016, fans can buy the album and individual songs or stream the music online in English and is set to be released in 18 other languages in 2017.

You can watch all 20 songs on the Kazoops music channel HERE or the album is available for download HERE.
