Review: Cheerios oat crisp and cinnamon oat crisp cereals

My kids absolutely love their morning cereal.

I say morning cereal, but if they had the choice it'd be morning, noon & night cereal!

Although I have to admit, I am quite partial to a bowl for my supper once in a while.

But seriously, as soon as the kids eyes are open, they want their cereal and they want it NOW.

I don't mind though. It is their most important meal of the day after all & I do like to send them off to school knowing they've started the day with a healthy big bowl of cereal.

They are already huge fans of cheerios, so when I heard about the new Cheerio's oat crisp and cinnamon oat crisp, I new they'd be keen to try them out.

The new Oat Crisp cereals are a mix of crunchy flakes and cheerios and are a natural source of beta-glucan that can help lower cholesterol as well as high in fibre and low in saturated fat.

What's more, cholesterol charity Heart UK have given cheerio's Oart crisp their seal of approval!

According to the charity, over half of all adults in the UK have raised cholesterol which is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease. Just one bowl of tasty Cheerio's Oat crisp will provide 1/3 of your recommended intake of beta-glucan and the experts recommend a daily intake of 3g oat beta-glucan to obtain beneficial cholesterol-lowering effect.

The children gobbled through two boxes full in no time with me barely getting a look in so it definitely got their seal of approval.

I am a huge fan of something a little sweeter and love cinnamon so the cinnamon Oat crisp was my personal favourite and both will be something I add to my shopping list in the future.

These new Nestle cereals are available from most supermarkets and are prices around £2.49 for a 350g box.
